A few nights ago, Jimmy and I were watching a movie at about one in the morning when all of a sudden we hear this succession of huge loud bangs outside our front window. Our first thought was a car crash but there was no metal crunching, so we ran to the window to see what had happened and there was this large white truck that had apparently slid on some ice on the road and slipped first into the ditch by our curb, then jumped up onto the front drive area of our house. We watched the guy driving get out and look around, then jump back into his car and speed off. He had knocked over like 5 trash cans, and this was right after the holidays, so everyone's trash was not only out, but also very full. We were worried they had hit the car in front of our house, but it was ok. Still, it seems they probably did a lot of damage to their car. Sad, scary, and crazy! These pictures are of the trash all over. You can see the tire marks where the car stopped at the tree (we don't know if they hit it or not, but there are no marks on the tree, so if they did it was just barely). You can also see the transmission fluid on the ground, and even the ditch they fell in before making it up the curb. Funny! (actually, its only funny because no one got hurt...)

Crazy! And crazy that you were up at one in the morning. Brett and I can't seem to make it until eleven o'clock these days, and if we somehow do make it that late I am sooo grouchy the next day. Glad everyone was safe. Thanks for sharing!
