Fourth of July 2012

This year for the fourth the Penrods were in town. We started the day with a big neighborhood breakfast that we helped put together. We didn't actually know if anyone would come but we had about 60 people there, so that was good. Then we took it easy for a couple hours and then headed over to Grandma's for dinner. It was soo good. She had brisket, German potato salad, a summer salad, rolls, etc. It was amazing. There were even two kinds of cobbler for dessert. We did fireworks there. It was crazy--you could see the Quail Fire from her house, and we just watched it coming over the ridge. Fun day. So grateful for this country and our freedom.
