Merry Christmas

For Christmas this year we were able to go down to California and spend a week with our families. We got there Saturday afternoon just in time for the BYU game--what a disappointment! Turns out we shouldn't have hurried :(
Sunday we went to church with Jimmy's family and then ward-hopped to hear his dad speak and my family sing in the choir (that Mom directed). It was a great Christmas Sunday full of good talks and fantastic music. Then we had dinner with the Highams, then caroled with the Penrods. The next night we spent the day at the dentist, then with the Penrods', then caroled with the Highams :) Tuesday was volleyball in the morning, then over to the Penrods'. And so it went--everyday we were able to see both families which was so nice. We spent Christmas Eve with the Highams, then opened presents and had Santa with them, then jetted over to the Penrods', then back to the Highams' for breakfast. We were able to talk to Debbie and then went to dinner at the Penrods' where we were able to talk to Jeremy. That was really special.
We were also able to do a date night while we were in California. My parents treated us to a movie (Australia--so good) and dinner. It was so great to go out together and have Tori babysat! And I'm pretty sure Grandma and Grandpa Penrod liked it too...
It was also Tori's first Christmas which was a lot of fun. We had a good time looking at toys and deciding what to get her. We were given food storage (a lot!) which was one of our goals for this year, so that is perfect. Also, I got a diaper bag! It's so great. And of course we've already had a ton of fun with our new camera :). Thank you everyone for a great holiday!
