On their way back from California, Jim's sister Melanie and her family were able to stop and visit us while they were in Utah. They even bought us Cafe Rio! Thank you guys! We went to the park and really just had a great time getting to see them and know their kids better.
We also celebrated Pioneer Day this weekend by going to Butlerville Days--the local fair/carnival/city event. They had a fireworks show that night that we stayed for. It was a pretty impressive little show (and only about forty minutes long!) but it probably wasn't worth the traffic to get out :) Afterwards we went over to a friend's house, but we were so tired we ended up having to leave pretty soon. Plus Tori was getting a little fussy (she was a champ most of the day, and even enjoyed the fireworks too!) It was a fun little way to celebrate Pioneer Day.
Also Tori is getting so anxious to walk! She will fuss for us to walk her around (holding to her hands while she takes steps) and will then let go and stand, then jump a bit and dive for us. It's really cute. We tried to video her taking a few steps. It's right at the beginning of this video--then she got tired. (She'd already been doing this for a little while when we thought to grab the camera.)
